This full-size, 3' x 5' indoor / outdoor use flag features the crest of the 505th Airborne (PIR). Activated in 1942, the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment participated in the campaigns of Sicily, Salerno, Normandy, the Netherlands and the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. The Regiment has also participated in actions in the Dominican Republic, Multi-National Force and Observers and was the only Brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division to participate in the Vietnam War. Later with actions in Grenada, Panama and well as Iraq and Afghanistan, the 505th PIR continues to lead the way.
The term 'H-Minus' comes from the countdown to the original jump into Normandy during WWI - it's used similar to this day to determine drop time of parachuting troops.
This is a standard 3' x 5' flag for hanging on most pole assemblies you can buy at local hardware stores and includes brass grommets for years of faithful service. Features vibrant colors to scare the neighbors away.
NOTE: This flag will show a reverse image on the back - we do not use multi-layered flags because the material would be to heavy and you would need a 15-20 knot wind to even get it to move.
